British Skateboard Racing is led by an experienced team from across the UK skateboarding community, guiding the organisation’s development, supporting athletes and organisers, and shaping the future of downhill, slalom and street luge racing in the UK.

Sam Gordon

Founder of UKSSA with extensive experience in international skateboard racing and over 20 years organising events in the UK.
Has led the delivery of the UK’s longest-running annual skateboard racing event, expanding it to include multiple disciplines. Brings long-standing experience across event organisation, safety, logistics and governance, providing leadership and continuity for British Skateboard Racing.

Rob Ashby

Long standing Secretary of UKSSA and ISSA National Coordinator, with extensive experience supporting skateboard events and organisational delivery in the UK.
Brings strong connections across the wider skateboarding community, provides coordination, administration and governance for BSR, with a structured and highly organised approach.

Louis Selby

Slalom racer with over 20 years of experience competing at an international level, ISSA Racer Commission representative, with deep ties in the UK skateboarding community and practical experience supporting events.

Plays a central role in the development of BSR, working across disciplines to build a more connected structure for skateboard racing in the UK.

Jack Plummer

Downhill racer with extensive experience competing in the UK and internationally.

A well-established member of the racing community, with experience supporting athlete selection and representation for international competitions. Contributes to the development of downhill within BSR, including events, standards and selection processes.

Phil Spencer

Street luge racer with experience across national and international competition, including at a World Championship level.

Brings a current, well-rounded perspective on athlete development, accessibility and event standards, supporting the integration and growth of street luge within BSR.

Dill Hill

Designer and Art Director with over 25 years of experience across branding, illustration and digital media, and more than 40 years involvement in skateboarding across multiple disciplines.

Brings extensive design expertise and a long-standing connection to the sport, supporting BSR’s visual identity and digital presence

Digital & Design Lead 

Darren Miles

Slalom racer with experience across UK and international events, and a strong interest in supporting the development of the sport.

Brings experience in race timing and communications, contributing to BSR through coordination, community updates and day-to-day organisational support.

Communications & Operations Coordinator 

Alex Ireton

Multi-discipline skateboarder and founder of one of the UK’s leading longboard specialist skate shops, as well as a community organiser for London Longboards, the UK’s largest longboarding community.

Supports BSR across events, organisation, and ongoing development.
